Morning has broken

Light tortures my head

Neighbor too outspoken

Is now locked in my shed

Praise for the morning?  Highly unlikely

Reality dawning; it fills me with dread

No time for breakfast

Staff meeting is at 9

Chance I’ll be on time?

Realistically nil

Magpie is singing at 8 in the morning

Someone should unnerve it; maybe I will…
